Founded in 1953, ADAGP is a French society for the collection and distribution of copyright in the visual arts. It represents over 200,000 artists in all disciplines: painting, sculpture, architecture, design, street art, photography, etc. ADAGP has signed more than 280 contracts with TV broadcasters, enabling producers to use works from its repertoire in their documentaries, reports, TV series, TV movies, etc. for broadcast on almost all French TV channels and video-on-demand and content-sharing platforms. Under these contracts, royalties are paid by the distributors. Producers who want to use works from ADAGP's repertoire for other broadcasts (international distribution, cinema or festival) should contact ADAGP to obtain the necessary authorizations. To this end, please check on www.adagp.fr that the artist concerned is represented by ADAGP. If so, the producer must fill in the authorization request form on this website, and the services will reply.
