Founded in 1998, AFAR (french association of assistant directors) aims to allow all participants in the movie industry to find confirmed first, second and third assistant directors to carry out their projects in France or abroad. AFAR also strives to defend the interests of the profession and the respect of a real deontology. All 138 AFAR members have worked on several feature films, TV movies, TV series or commercials.
